Today I want to talk about multimedia computing and how useful it can be in develop of technology. Multimedia is the world’s fastest developing, most popular and revolutionary area of computing. It is a topic that is discussed and seen almost everywhere in today’s world. It is highly depended on for its new technologies in computing. It can not be viewed in just one aspect. It is a very broad topic consisting of many other subtopics which can be applied in various devices such as cellular phones, laptops, televisions and so on.

Multimedia is computers using multiple media to let people deal with information naturally. To interact with computers using all the senses we use to interact with people. The major limitation of current computers is the reliance on alphanumeric information. With multimedia, the use of images in enhanced to acquire information and to communicate.

Computer interface designers should acquire similar modes of human communication. Allowing multimodal interaction with computers lets the computer play a more useful role. As computers become transparent, people will focus more on their application than on the mechanics of their use.

We therefore see the importance of multimedia in the present times, where it is applied in almost every aspect of our lives, and we see how much we depend on it and how much it eases our lives. Research on it- and demand for it still continues and there are endless possibilities to broaden this field. The future of multimedia is challenging but very bright.

The best commercial ever made

The advertisor was apple,the product was new Macintash and the client -the person handeling advertising responsibility and making decisions - was steve jobs, apple's CEO and co-founder, who wanted "a tunderclap" ad.The agency was california-based chiat/day.The medium was televison's super Bowl.The supplier was legendary british film director.The audience was the 96 million people watching super Bowl xvlll that day in januray 1984, and the target audience was those in the audience who were trying to decide whether they should buy a personal computer.

It s basic principle in advertising:The combination of the right product ate the right time in the right place with all the right people involved can create something magical- job's thunderclap.


The story line was take off on Goarge orwell's science-fiction novel about the sterile mind-controlled world of 1984.An audience of mindless gray skinned drones whatch the masive skrin image of "big brother" spouting an ideologic diatribe. And then athletic young woman throws a large sledgehammer at the screen.the dronce see the light.in the last shot announcer reads only words in the commercial as they appear on screen: "On january 24th . Apple computer will interduce Machintash.And you'll see why 1984 wont't be like 1984".


On January 24 long lines formed outside computer stores carrying Apples,and the entire inventory sold out in the one day.The intial sales goal of 50,000 units was easilly suppassed by
72,000 unit sold in the first100 days and more would have been sold if Apple had been able to keep up with the damand.



The 1984 commercial is one of the most talked about and most remmbered commercials ever made, The best of the decade, the best 50 commercial ever made,etc. Every time there is a list of the best commercials . it sit at the top and containuse to recive accolades into the twenty first century.
